About our school

Allenby Gardens Primary School operates as a Preschool to Year 6 School, incorporating a Preschool as well as a before and after school hours program (OSHC). It is situated in the Inner West catchment area.

There are currently around 382 learners attending our school and 62 learners attending our preschool.

We are fortunate to have a vibrant family community, working in partnership to support all learners. We continue to value this partnership and welcome families to play an active role in our school community and their child’s learning. Research highlights that families who are active participants in their child’s learning are more satisfied with the learning achieved.

Our facilities

Specialist hub building

Our Specialist building includes Science/STEM classroom and Greek, with state-of-the-art facilities to support learning activities for Years Foundation-6.  These include rooms equipped with portable devices for students to use, including laptops and iPads.  

Oval

Our oval is fully fenced and equipped with toilets, a playground, BBQ facilities, AFL footy and soccer goals, netball and basketball court with 2 shelters. 

Gymnasium

Inside our gym building is a full basketball court, sports shed, toilets and a school canteen. The gym has heating and cooling so it can be safely used across all seasons. 

Playground and bush tucker garden

We have 2 nature-based playgrounds that provide a fun outdoor learning environment. At the front of the school, there is a bush tucker garden space where students can play and learn during lesson and break time. 

Performing arts centre

Our Performing Arts Centre caters for The Arts curriculum area beng taught across Foundation – 6. Learners engage in Performing Arts for a double lesson each week, where they immerse themselves in Media, Dance, Music and Visual Arts.
