LIBRARY
The library is an integral part of our school. Classes visit the library regularly to borrow books, read and utilise the space for teaching and learning.
Our library is open from 8:30am to 3:20pm each school day.
Book Week 18-22 August 2025
Book week is held in Term 3 of each year. It’s a time to celebrate reading, authors, literature and writing.

Premier’s Reading Challenge:
Allenby Gardens Primary School is proud to undertake the Premier’s Reading Challenge every year.
PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE
Students at Allenby Gardens Primary School are active readers and have enjoyed enormous whole school and indvidual successes in the Premiers Reading Challenge.
The Premiers Reading Challenge is a literacy engagement program that was introduced by the Premier in 2004 to:
- Encourage students to read more books and enjoy reading
- Improve literacy levels
The Challenge requires students to read 12 books between the beginning of the school year and early September.

Oval
Our oval is fully fenced and equipped with toilets, a playground, BBQ facilities, soccer goals, football goals, netball court and 2 shelters.
Gymnasium
Inside our gym is a full basketball court, kitchen, toilets and a stage. The gym has heating and cooling so it can be safely used across all seasons.
